 OUR EVENTS Monthly Combined Services In a given month, we change the format of our services. Normally this is the last Sunday of the month, and we call it our combined service sunday. We have our normal Sunday morning service schedule, then after the morning worship service we head downstairs for a meal in which all the families bring a few dishes to pass. After the meal, we have an abrieviated devotional and then head home for the day. (The evening services are cancelled on these Sundays.) Pine Valley Sportsmen's Fest This January, we hosted a new annual event! Limited to 200 guest we had a day full of activities for the whole family! It was free to attend and activities included: a delicious meal, several wildlife speakers, great displays, demonstrations, dessert and HUGE prizes! All topped off with a short devotional from God's Word. Family Carnival At the end of the year the Olympians program concludes it meetings with an awards ceremony, in which the children earn awards for hard efforts put forth during the whole year. To celebrate their hard work, a carnival is thrown in which all the kids families, as well as the church families, are invited to attend! The activities range from year to year, but it always a fun time for the whole family! Ladies Brunch Close to Mother's Day we like to encourage the women of our church by hosting a ladies event. It varies from year to year what the meal might be or the theme of the event, but it is always a great time of fellowship and food. Men's Softball League Every Spring and Summer, a group of churches in our area post sign-ups for the Church Softball teams. The games last for several weeks, including playoffs, and are played at a local park. In recent years, due to higher interest, they have even added a night game per week played under the lights! |
